Food & Beverage Supervisor
To support with managing the Restaurant, Banqueting and Conference facilities in the day to day business whilst also supporting management with making strategic improvements to drive service standards and profitability across the department.
To act as a key point of contact and a leader on shift; ensuring all staff are given direction and adequate training; in order to carry out the role to a high standard.
Ideally having Rosette Restaurant experience with a good knowledge and enthusiasm for understanding wine and mixology which can be shared with the team.
Has experience of supervising people and a passion for developing staff and recognising talent and skills within individuals.
This role does involve working early mornings, late nights and weekends across a rota.
The person ideally will have their own transport due to the rural location of the business and working hours as these are often outside of public transport timetables.

Salary: £18,000.00 /year
Barnsdale Lodge Hotel are currently looking for an experienced Commis Chef to join their dedicated, hard working and professional team.
You will need to have the experience and ability to produce a quality food service throughout the hotel, be creative, deliver good food and personal hygiene practice, take responsibility for Health & Safety and manage storage and stock control.
You will need to be flexible and resilient and be a good team worker.
In return, you will receive training from a dedicated and passionate Executive Head Chef and the team which will help you progress in your career.
The hotel is based in a rural location, therefore own transport is advisable. The role will be working 5 days, across Monday to Sunday.

Barnsdale Lodge Hotel are looking for Casual Housekeepers to work within our Housekeeping department Monday - Sunday.
The hours could vary according to the needs of the business. The department often operates between the hours of 6am and 5pm.
The ideal candidate will have good customer service skills, be professional and understand the importance of working to a high standard, ensuring a good eye for detail. Ideally having experience within a similar role, however, full training can be given to someone that has the enthusiasm, commitment and flair to work in the department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Head Receptionist to join our busy team.
We're a great company to work for and you will be an important part of the team.
You will deal with overseeing guest bookings for the hotel & our luxury Rutland Retreats, payments, managing the Reception team and communicating with all departments within the hotel to ensure smooth daily operations.
The role includes greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner on the telephone and in person. Reception is the first point of call for all guests, therefore excellent customer service skills are required. You will also deal with customer complaints and enquiries.
As a senior role in the business, it is expected that the Head Receptionist will inspire their team to provide an exceptional service to guests and help guests have a great experience during their stay at the hotel.
The Head Receptionist will also support the GM with revenue reporting and taking full ownership of effective management and utilisation of all PMS data, and report on room pricing strategy through financial and competitor analysis.
You will have a proved record in growing and increasing the revenue through proactive rate management, increasing guest satisfaction and average daily room rate and occupancy.
You will manage the reception team to ensure a smooth running of the front desk, managing rotas and weekly schedules.
The role does involve evening and weekend working. Due to the locality of the hotel, own transport would be preferred as working hours are outside of the public transport timetables.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- - Has an enthusiastic, proactive, and "can-do" attitude as the role is varied
- - Ideally has experience of three star/red star service
- - Ideally has experience of rate management
- - Is experienced in group and independent properties
- - Is organised while working well under pressure
- - Recognises that great customer experience is key to the success of the hotel, and is keen to receive and respond to customer feedback in a constructive manner
- - Is able to welcome and react effectively to feedback (Internal & External)
- - Is well presented, with excellent communication skills
The role is full time £18,500 P/A
